Brake upgrades for Mk1 Rover SD1
The 4-pot ventilated disc front setup from the Vitesse is much better than the original and is just bolt on. I gave the brakes new seals and pistons and Aeoroquip type pipes. The SD1 Vitesse is fitted with a two pipe supply to each caliper which is supplied from a special multi-port proportioning valve. Rather than fit this valve I connected the ports together with a T piece. I did fit the Vitesse servo, however.
The beaks were great and felt better than my SD1 Vitesse (which has everything replaced except the proportioning valve but still has a rather soft peddle).
Nice all new rear brakes! How long before they stop self adjusting?
