Protection for the Davies-Craig pump

I bent a piece of 50 x 5 mm steel bar to fit between some extra long bolts which secure the anti roll bar clamp. The top end of the bar hada piece of steel welded on the edge at right angles to the bar so that it could be bolted to the front towing eyes (I’ll worry about providing a new towing eye later!)

Some more pieces of steel were welded on to form a sort of cage round the pump.

Later I fitted a similar piece of steel on the other side or the car (but without the cage) which I used to hang the front spoiler on.

They also provide a bit of protection for the radiator which rather dangles out of the bottom of the car (I inherited that when I bought the car).
